RVNA to Hold Southbury Spring Breakfast Tomorrow!

The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is holding its second annual Southbury Spring Breakfast on Friday, June 24 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Heritage Hotel in Southbury.

RVNA serves 28 communities in western Connecticut, and is serving a growing number of patients in Southbury and the surrounding communities.  Last year RVNA made more than 50,660 home care visits, administered more than 4,000 immunizations, and provided 1,200 health screenings at its annual Health Fair.

Southbury Spring Breakfast event co-chairs are Southbury residents Diana and Jon Seaman of Seaman Mechanical Services.  The Seamans invite their friends and neighbors in the Southbury community to attend on June 24th to support RVNA and its work in the Southbury community.

RVNA’s popular breakfast event brings together businesses and individuals who support the very best home and community health care services.  For more than 100 years, RVNA has provided support for community health and wellness by providing skilled home nursing, rehabilitative therapies, vaccination clinics and educational programs.

The demand for RVNA services grows each year as the Connecticut population ages and more people live to an advanced age.  RVNA cares for all, from birth to end of life, regardless of diagnosis or financial circumstances.

In the past 100 years, RVNA has grown from a single hard-working nurse to a staff of nearly 200 compassionate, caring professionals augmented by almost 300 dedicated volunteers.  The size of RVNA’s staff has doubled in the last five years, yet RVNA has been named a “Top Workplace” by Hearst Media five times in recent years.  RVNA has also earned a reputation for excellence in the health care community and for compassionate care among the people we serve.

The Southbury Spring Breakfast will feature remarks by one of RVNA’s caring and committed employees, Ros Harris, who will share her experience caring for an aging mother.

To sponsor, host a table, or purchase tickets, please contact Jaime Bonner, RVNA Development Manager, (203) 438-5555.
