Kristen Graves to Perform at Captain's Cove

Join Bridgeport Historical Society's last event of the season for a special performance by former State Troubadour Kristen Graves tomorrow June 27 at 6:30 pm! Kristen Graves will share an evening at Captain's Cove with songs ranging from her original work to folk sing-alongs. She'll also enlighten the crowd with stories from her musical and nonmusical endeavors- from sharing Lincoln Center stage with Peter Yarrow to sharing lentil soup and conversation with Pete Seeger.

Kristen Graves is a folk/pop singer, songwriter and humanitarian. Graves was previously the 15th State Troubadour for Connecticut, an honorary position to elevate one of the state's singer/songwriters to serve as ambassador of music and song. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, this now Fairfield resident has been writing and performing her own music since 2000 and has released six albums and two EPs.

Her passions do not stop there, by spending months living and working with Simply Smiles in Mexico and on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota, Graves incorporates humanitarian actions into her full plate of achievements. Not only does she want to advocate for the social justice, but her love for the arts stresses the importance of creativity in our lives.
