RNVA Presents Heart Healthy Breakfast at The Hearth in Southbury

Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is organizing a nutritional presentation on Tuesday, July 19th entitled “Heart Healthy Breakfast” at The Hearth in Southbury.  So, what are the benefits of eating a heart-healthy breakfast? You might be surprised!

Join RVNA Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator, Meg Whitbeck and April Rodriquez, RVNA Community Health & Wellness Nurse as they provide an overview on heart health, including common cardiac issues (hypertension, high cholesterol, and congestive heart failure) and what the commonly prescribed medications actually do for these conditions. Learn how diet and lifestyle changes can treat and prevent these common cardiac issues and decrease the need for medications.  A nutritious heart healthy breakfast will be served with time for a Q & A session. This presentation will take place on Tuesday, July 19, from 9-11am.  This event is free and open to the public. Attendees should RSVP to The Hearth at Southbury at 203-437-6819. The Hearth at Southbury is located at 655 Main Street S in Southbury.
