Shakespeare by Another Name: Presentation by Author Mark Anderson at Southbury Public Library Tomorrow

On Saturday, July 23rd from 1-2pm in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library, author Mark Anderson presents his epic biography of Elizabethan poet-playwright Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, arguing that the Earl of Oxford was the true author of the plays attributed to William Shakespeare. Weaving together a wealth of evidence uncovered in more than ten years of research, the book brings to life the colorful figure of Edward de Vere, and asserts  de Vere was, in fact, "Shakespeare."

Registration is required. Please call 203-262-0626 ext. 130 to register. Sponsored by the Charles H. & Ella Emery Rutledge Fund. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.

Journalist and author Mark Anderson devoted more than a decade to researching the life of Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford, publishing articles on de Vere in Harper's, The Boston Globe, and on PBS.org. Holding a master's degree in astrophysics, he has also written articles on science, technology, the environment, the arts and politics for Rolling Stone, Wired, Discover, Science, New Scientist, and National Geographic and Scientific American online.
