Mark your calendars for February 16! This is a powerful documentary about body image that has sparked international media frenzy.
When Body Image Activist Taryn Brumfitt posted an unconventional before-and-after photo in 2013, it was seen by more than 100 million people worldwide and sparked an international media frenzy. The documentary film, EMBRACE, follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Beth Rosen, a Registered Dietitian and owner of Goodness Gracious Living Nutrition in Southbury, and Cheryl Schwartz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor in Sandy Hook. Refreshments will be served.
