Knight Life at Southbury Public Library on Thursday, July 6

Knight Life at Southbury Public Library on Thursday, July 6th at 2pm in the Kingsley Room

Join us as we welcome Mike Norris back to the library for a fascinating presentation on how medieval knights practiced for war and enjoyed the pleasures of peace through masterpieces of the Morgan Library and Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Cloisters.

Mike Norris got his BA in classics from the University of California at San Diego and his MA in classics and Ph.D. in art history at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He spent twenty years at the Cloisters Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and has lectured on trips all over the world. He lives in Teaneck, New Jersey.

This program is sponsored by the Charles H. and Ella Emery Rutledge Fund and is a part of the adult summer series "Going Medieval at the Southbury Public Library."

Like all of our other programs, this program is free to attend and is open to anyone interested, regardless of town residency. Please register by calling the library at 203-262-0626 ext. 130.
