A ridiculously cute 10-month-old male otter named Levi will be introduced into the Aquarium’s River Otter Exhibit, joining an 11-year-old male named Lew.
The young otter arrived at The Maritime Aquarium in November from the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, where he was born in February.
Levi and Lew have gradually been introduced and allowed to interact, and have been taking turns out in the exhibit. Following the Dec. 18 public introduction, Aquarium visitors again will see two otters on exhibit.
Levi fills a spot opened by the death of Bell, a female otter that died in April at age 19.
On-hand will be John Lenzycki, curator of animals, and aquarist Vicki Sawyer.
