Southbury was very lucky to receive much less snow than was predicted. No power interruptions and with less snow, less work for everyone!
The roads are still very slippery, and the travel ban that was placed by Governor Malloy for last night and today is still in affect. First Selectman Ed Edelson asks that we continue to Shelter in Place and let the Public Works department do their job without worrying about extra cars on the road.
Snow totals were approximately 7-10 inches, which is well below what we were expecting.
It is bitterly cold outside, with the wind the low temperatures are feeling like -10 degrees. When going out to shovel or clear your pathway or driveway, bundle up, take warm up breaks, and enjoy the rest of your quiet day!
