Snowstorm on Thursday? Here's the lastest forecast from NOAA

There has been a lot of chatter regarding a snowstorm expected to hit our area on Thursday. Much ado about nothing? Well, probably. We will see some precipitation tomorrow (Thursday, December 29) but not much in the way of snow.

Thursday, December 29
Snow before 11am, then rain and snow between 11am and 1pm, then rain after 1pm. High near 39. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Thursday Night
A chance of rain and snow before 7pm, then a chance of snow between 7pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. View the snow total map here.
Friday, December 30
Isolated snow showers after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 36. West wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 35.

A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
