Southbury Strategic Planning Task Force will hold a presentation workshop August 10

The Southbury Strategic Planning Task Force will hold a presentation workshop August 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Town Hall, Room 205. The Southbury Town Charter states that the "First Selectman is responsible for preparing and annually updating a strategic plan for the Town, such plan is subject to the approval of the Board of Selectmen."

On April 20, 2017, the Board of Selectmen approved the formation of the task force to begin the strategic planning process inclusive of a comprehensive survey of town residents and stakeholders establishing priorities for proper town governance and responsible town growth. This plan will be supplemental to Southbury's Plan of Conservation and Development of 2012 (POCD).

The intent of this strategic planning process is to clarify and monitor the goals and objectives of our local elected and appointed leaders; the initial phases of the process are underway-for information regarding this process, please refer to www.southbury-ct.org/SPTF.

All Southbury residents and business owners are invited to attend the presentation workshop on Thursday, August 10, 2017, to obtain an update on the task force's progress and next steps; public comments are most welcome but will be limited to five (5) minutes. All input for this committee may additionally be emailed to stratplaninfo@southbury-ct.gov.

Registration is required. Please reserve your seat by calling (203) 262-0647.
