Nature as Healer Program at Flanders Nature Center

On Sunday, May 31, discover how nature can guide, calm, inform and restore you every day and anywhere. Flanders hosts teacher, artist, and writer Marlow Shami, M.S., sharing how and why the natural world can help us to achieve these goals in a technology-driven world.

Studies conducted over the past 20 years confirm that contact with the natural world and meditation can lift spirits, reduce anxiety, alleviate pain, increase brain function and cultivate a sense of belonging and compassion.

Specializing in the healing connection between humans and the natural world, Marlow Shami conducts Nature as Healer workshops and talks throughout New England. The program will consist of an indoor presentation of beautiful and compelling images; a guided meditation; and outdoor activities.

The group will meet at the Flanders Studio which is located at the corner of Flanders and Church Hill Roads in Woodbury at 2PM. The Cost is $10 member and $15 for non members.

Those interested can register online at www.flandersnaturecenter.org.or call (203) 263-3711 Ext. 10 for more information.
