Former Legislator & Utility Regulator from Naugatuck, Kevin M. DelGobbo has Died

Former state legislator and state representative from Naugatuck, Kevin M. DelGobbo died on Monday, July 3. He was 53 years old. According to his LinkedIn profile, DelGobbo most recently served as Director of Revenue Requirements at Eversource Energy.

The Hartford Courant reported that before becoming a utility regulator, DelGobbo served for 10 years as the ranking House Republican on the legislature's energy committee, including during the early days of electric deregulation in the 1990s. He was succeeded by Democrat Arthur House at the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, a three-member board that was proposed by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy as the successor to the five-member DPUC. He later served as an adviser to Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary.

Naugatuck Republican Town Committee shared this statement on their Facebook Page: "It is with a heavy heart I make this post. We have lost a great man and public servant to God's eternal care. His accomplishments and contributions to the community of Naugatuck and the State of Connecticut are countless and we will always carry his memory in our hearts and he will still be mentoring us in giving back from above. We will miss you Kevin DelGobbo."
