Viral Video Shows Todd Ingersoll Awarding 3 New Cars to Bethel High School Graduates

The Bethel High School (BHS) Graduation 2017 took place on June 20 and Guest Speaker was Todd Ingersoll, CEO and President of Ingersoll Auto.

After delivering a powerful speech, Ingersoll surprised all in attendance by awarding three annual scholarships to students, a grant to the teachers, and keys to a new car to the winner of the BHS Commencement Speech Challenge. The winner of the car was not announced. Instead, Ingersoll told students to tune into the Ingersoll Facebook Page on Friday, June 7 for a live stream of the winner receiving his or her vehicle.

Ingersoll, whose alma mater is Bethel High School, charged the student body of 206 graduating seniors with writing a two page handwritten essay explaining why they were uniquely deserving of a gift of a new car. He received 60 essays.

The Facebook video, which currently has 66K views, contained some shocking news. During the live video, Ingersoll calmly announced, "We are not going to give away one car today. We are going to give away three cars."

“Today we awarded three vehicles to deserving members of Bethel High! Your essays were all so touching, and we're honored to be able to help you succeed.”
