Fall 10-Day Detox at NVWHS for a Healthier You

Start a healthy fall season with a 10-day detox program at Naugatuck Valley Women’s Health Specialists. Letting go of food cravings and unhealthy foods and replacing them with whole foods is the beginning of a healthier you.

The program is for women and men and will be led by Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) Peggy Krotzer. Past detox participants have experienced improved energy levels, clarity and focus, joint comfort, restful sleep, skin appearance, weight loss and more.

The kick-off informational meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 25, from 7 to 8 p.m. There is no charge to attend this meeting to learn about the benefits and the “how to” of detoxing. To reserve your seat for the meeting, call Krotzer at 203-446-6888, e-mail her at peggy@nvwhs.com or register at the front desk at NVWHS.

Those who want to participate in the 10-day program may order a detox kit for pickup at the Sept. 25 meeting by calling Diane at NVWHS at 203-575-1811, ext. 124. The cost for the program is $145, which includes meal replacement protein shakes, easy to follow directions, a probiotic for healthy gastrointestinal function, guidance from Krotzer and more.

As the nutritionist for the OB/GYN group, Krotzer helps patients take control of their lives through education and compassionate support, whether the focus is weight loss, fighting a chronic disease or dealing with food restrictions.

“Good nutrition and exercise are the foundation,” said Krotzer, who also guides patients toward reversing chronic disease through diet and lifestyle modifications. She is trained to assist patients with diabetes, osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, high cholesterol, high triglycerides and hypertension, among others.

NVWHS may be reached at (203) 575-1811. The website is nvwhs.com. The practice is located at 687 Straits Turnpike, Suite 2A, in Middlebury, and also has an office at 133 Scovill Street in Waterbury, adjacent to Saint Mary’s Hospital.
