Town of Southbury announces Laborer position available
Laborer at the Southbury Transfer Station. Part-time position – 8 hrs. to 16 hrs. per week including Saturday and “fill-in” coverage, $14.86 per hour.
Performs manual labor duties at the Transfer Station including monitoring and assisting in deposit of recycling and solid waste materials, cleaning up debris and litter, placing and securing tarps on containers, preparing trailers for transport, loading materials, moving appliances, electronics and car batteries, clearing snow and ice from walkway and bins, checking vehicles for permits, and other manual work assignments. Open until filled.
