February Fun Days at Flanders!

While off from school for the President’s Day holiday on Monday and Tuesday, February 16th and 17th, kids in grades kindergarten through 5th are invited to come to Flanders to experience “Amazing Animals” where they will spend time discovering the wonderful world of animals. Centered at the Flanders trail house they will then be hiking the trails at Flanders to explore habitats to find tracks and signs of wildlife. They will meet the farm animals that live at the Flanders barn to learn about them as well as other animals around the world. These will be fun filled days packed with exploring the great outdoors, and age appropriate stories, games and crafts. The events go from 9AM to 3PM. Parents are asked to have their children dress for the weather and to bring a bag lunch. Pre-registration is required. The cost per child per day is $35 for Flanders members and $45 for non-members. Before and after care is also available for an additional fee. Register online or call Flanders at (203) 263-3711, extension 10. For a full listing of all the programs for kids and adults coming up at Flanders visit www.flandersnaturecenter.org or like them on their facebook page.
