Hotel Zero Degrees Opens in Danbury

Last week, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton was joined by developer Randy Salvatore, Founder and President of RMS Companies, and Charles Mallory, founder of Greenwich Hospitality Group, for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting to mark the opening of Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury. The third location for the boutique brand, located at 15 Milestone Road, is officially open and taking reservations proudly welcoming their first guests this week.

"There is no doubt that Danbury has become a destination for top-shelf venues, entertainment, and lodging. Hotel Zero Degrees is an exemplary example of that fact. We are thrilled that this hotel has found a home in our city." said Mayor Boughton. Randy Salvatore, Chief Executive Officer of Developer RMS Companies, recently commented, “We are so excited to be expanding the Hotel Zero Degrees brand into the Danbury community. We are looking forward to providing accommodations for business and leisure travelers as well as becoming the central gathering place for restaurant patrons and social groups for many years to come.”

Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury is conveniently located off I-84 and features 114 unique guest rooms including 27 extended stay suites in a relaxing natural setting. The hotel has over 3,500 square feet of indoor event space including a 2,600 square foot ballroom as well as an expansive outdoor patio for casual dining or larger functions.

Jonathan Nehmer + Associates, Inc. and HVS Design have paired to create a design that is relaxed yet sophisticated, minimal but not austere, subtle but impactful.  Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury reflects the natural elements of the local landscape, from its modern lodge exterior to its eclectic curated interiors. The focal point of the great room, a stunning fireplace wrapped in metal and stone draws the guest to the back wall of glass complimenting the tranquil rear wooded views. An open floor plan encourages gathering and connecting through flexible furnishing opportunities. Whether you’re a hotel guest enjoying breakfast or a small group of friends socializing, the great room offers a medley of vignettes to suit all.

The hotel will be home to destination restaurant Terra of Danbury operated by regionally acclaimed Z Hospitality Group, proprietor of Mediterraneo, Terra and East End in Greenwich; Sole’ in New Canaan, Mediterraneo at Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk, Aurora in Rye, NY and the all-new Mediterraneo of White Plains. The restaurant will serve both lunch and dinner, as well as cater all corporate and social functions.
