The Gloria Cachion Gallery at Southbury Public Library will host an exhibit of Jo Rembish acrylic paintings starting Wednesday, July 2 until Wednesday, August 27, 2014. The library is located at 100 Poverty Rd., Southbury, CT, 203-262-0626.
Flowers, flower gardens, coastal landscapes, seascapes, and still life's are subjects rendered by Southington artist, Jo Rembish. Her acrylic paintings are inspired by the beauty found in a fleeting moment, such as sunlight falling across a group of irises or billowing clouds floating across the ocean. She has utilized various media including watercolor and oil paints. However, the artist favors the speed and flexibility of acrylics.
Note, the library will be closed on Saturdays during the month of July and during the month of August the library will be closed Saturday and Sunday.
