Special Elections to be Held in Bethlehem, Bloomfield, Bridgewater, Hartford, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown, West Haven, Woodbury, and Windsor
overnor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that special elections to fill three vacancies in the Connecticut General Assembly will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Special elections will be held on that date for the following seats:
- 2nd District of the State Senate, consisting of portions of Bloomfield, Hartford, and Windsor;
- 32nd District of the State Senate, consisting of the entirety of Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Oxford, Roxbury, Southbury, Washington, Watertown, and Woodbury, and portions of Middlebury and Seymour; and
- 115th District of the State House of Representatives, consisting of portions of West Haven.
The two Senate seats were most recently held by Eric Coleman and Rob Kane, and the House seat was most recently held by Stephen Dargan. While all three legislators won their most recent elections to serve during the 2017 legislative session, they chose not to be sworn into office and vacancies were declared.
