Southbury Town and School Budget Referendum Information

Southbury Town and School Budget Referendum Vote is Wednesday, May 3! 

Voter Registration Deadlines:

  • May 2, Noon: The last date to register to IN PERSON or ONLINE. (Click to go to Connecticut Online Voters Registration.)
  • Click here to find out how to register to vote.
  • If you don't know if you are registered to vote, you can look it up at Voter Registration Lookup website.
  • Election Day Voter Registration is not available for Referendum.
  • Property owners who are not registered voters in Southbury may vote at the referendum providing they are U.S. Citizens, at least 18 years of age and own property valued at $1,000 or more recorded on the Southbury Grand List as of October 1, 2016.

Polling Location and Time:

  • All voting will be held at the Firehouse at 461 Main Street South.
  • All elections, primaries and referenda are from 6AM - 8PM.

  • Annual Town Meeting will be held on May 1, 2017 to discuss the 2017-2018 proposed municipal budget.
  • Proposed Region 15 Budget
  • Voters must provided identification to vote at the polling place. Acceptable forms of identification include: a driver's license or other photo ID; U.S Passport; a pre-printed form of ID, like a tax bill or utility bill, pay stub or bank statement; Social Security card or other government document that shows your name and address; a document that shows your name and signature (i.e. a credit card).
