Absentee Ballots Available for Upcoming Primary

Staring July 22, 2014, absentee ballots are available at the Southbury Town Clerk's Office for the August 12, 2014 Republican Primary. Only electors who are registered Republicans can vote in this primary.

Please remember that obtaining an absentee ballot is a two-step process; first, you must complete an application and it must be verified by this office; and second, an absentee ballot is issued. Absentee ballots must be mailed to the applicant or may be given only to the applicant in person. Ballots must be returned to this office before the close of polls, 8:00 p.m., on August 12, 2014.

Application forms can also be downloaded from the Town of Southbury website at www.southbury-ct.org/absenteeballots. The application can be faxed – 203-264-9762, but the original signed application must be sent to us, at the address below, in order for the ballot to be counted. Ballots will be sent out when the faxed application is received, but again cannot be counted if we don't have the original signed application.

The Town Clerk's office is located in the Southbury Town Hall, 501 Main Street South, Southbury, CT 06488 and is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 8:00 am to 5:30 pm on Wednesday and 8:00am to 12:00pm on Friday; phone 203-262-0657.
