Committee Members Sought

At their August 21st meeting, the Southbury Board of Selectmen authorized the reorganization of its Human Resource Committee to consist of three Southbury residents appointed by the Board of Selectmen: one Democrat, one Republican and one Unaffiliated voter. The charge of the Human Resource Committee is to periodically review Town policies and procedures and make recommendations and suggestions for changes, when appropriate, to the Board of Selectmen. Further, whenever a non-union employee has a problem, complaint, or question concerning a matter (except suspension or termination), that employee may communicate directly with the Human Resource Committee and the Committee shall report its findings and/or recommendations to the Board of Selectmen for any action deemed necessary or appropriate.

Qualifications for membership on this committee include experience in the Human Resource/Personnel Management field and ability to maintain confidentiality when considering employee issues.

September 19th is the suggested deadline for receipt of submissions.
