Mother of infant baby boy found in Bristol Reservoir talks with State Police

 

UPDATE: State Police Detectives Investigate Harwinton Untimely Death

According to State Police, on March 21, 2017 at approximately 10:40 a.m. troopers from Troop L-Litchfield were notified that a deceased baby had been found in a bag in Bristol Reservoir #4. The reservoir is located on Route 72 and Route 4 in Harwinton. The City of Bristol Water Department maintains the reservoir.

The infant has been identified as a baby boy, born approximately 1-2 weeks ago. 

The mother, identified as a Connecticut resident, has come forward and spoken with State Police Western District Major Crime Detectives.  The mother, whose name is being withheld at this time, has also been provided necessary medical care at a local hospital.

The mother is working with detectives as they continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident.
