Viacom Employees Volunteer at Kids in Crisis On Viacommunity Day

A team of ten volunteers from Viacom, including President and CEO Bob Bakish, visited Kids in Crisis on Friday, April 28 to roll up their sleeves and help ready the shelter’s campus for Spring and Summer fun. Volunteers cleaned outdoor toys and fencing, weeded, trimmed hedges and touched- up paint.

This was the second year in a row that Viacom employees volunteered at Kids in Crisis as part of Viacommunity Day , the company’s annual worldwide day of service. Shari Shapiro, Executive Director, commented, “We are so appreciative of Viacom’s generous ongoing support for Kids in Crisis.

Volunteer activities such as their most recent cleaning and painting activities have such a tremendous positive effect on our staff and clients.” Each year, thousands of Viacom employees across the U.S. and around the world participate in service projects to better their local communities. Volunteer activities range from beautifying public parks to caring for animals to mentoring music students and beyond.
