Nick Depuy and Friends Present: A Benefit Concert for Ann Depuy

Next Tuesday, July 25th between 7-9pm at the Summer Theatre of New Canaan (STONC) Nick Depuy and Friends Present: A FREE Benefit Concert for Ann Depuy.

New Canaan resident Ann Depuy, was diagnosed with bulbar onset ALS in early 2013. Since that time her family have been tirelessly raising funds to try and help with the cost of around the clock care. Husband Warner says: “My wife Ann is suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease, ALS. She hasn’t spoken in almost 3-years, she was required to have a tracheotomy so hasn’t eaten by mouth in over-2 years. She is now on a ventilator and only able to communicate by using her eyes. However, she approaches every day with courage and grace - more than anyone else I know could muster in the face of this devastating disease."

The cost for her 24/7 home care are not covered by medical insurance and are staggeringly high. The Depuy family are only able to keep her cared for at home thanks to the generosity of family, friends and the community. Their son Nick, who is a very accomplished singer/songwriter is putting on a benefit concert to raise further funds for his mom and will be featuring songs from his soon to be released album 'Don’t Be Sorry'.

Warner says: "Special thanks to the generosity of STONC, Webster Bank who are sponsoring the event so admission can be FREE, and Baldanza Cafe who are providing bites to eat and will also host a future music dinner featuring Nick. ALL contributions collected from this event will go towards her care. Many thanks from the bottom of Ann's and my heart"

For those who can't attend, contributions can be made to GRAYBEARDS LTD, a 501 c3 organization and sent to Warner K Depuy at 84 West Park Place, Stamford, CT 06901.
