NBCUniversal Employees Grant Holiday Wishes to Children in Stamford

On Thursday, December 14, NBCUniversal employees donated more than 150 toys to the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, as part of the company’s annual Holiday Toy Drive.

Fifty NBCUniversal employees volunteered to participate in the drive; each employee received a personalized “wish card” from a child at the Boys & Girls Club that specified which toys he or she would like to receive. All of the children who filled out wish cards participate in after-school programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.

“Our team at the Stamford Media Center constantly looks for new ways to give back to the Stamford community, but this annual event is definitely a favorite,” said Vinnie Fusco, Vice President and General Manager of Production. “The Boys & Girls Club is a tremendous community partner and we are thrilled to host this toy drive for them for the fourth year in a row.”

In addition to the wish card program, NBCUniversal also purchased extra toys to be donated to other children at the club.

“The Boys & Girls Club of Stamford is always thrilled to return to the Stamford Media Center for this annual event,” said Mike Cotela, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. “We’d like to thank the NBCUniversal team not only for fulfilling our children’s’ wish lists, but for inviting us in and enjoying time together to celebrate the season. We look forward to continuing our relationship with NBC throughout 2018.”
