Mystery Writers of America Fiction Writers' Conference in Stamford on June 3

Always wanted to write that story? Finished your first draft and not sure what to do next? Written six books, but need new inspiration? Then MWA/NY's Fiction Writers' Conference at The Ferguson Library is for you.

The Conference will be held Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at The Ferguson Library's Main Library, DiMattia Building.

Mystery Writers of America is the  premier organization for writers of the world's most popular fiction genre. And members of MWA's NY (inc. CT, PA, NJ, DE and WV) Chapter are coming to The Ferguson Library to help you take your fiction - whether it's mystery, romance, historical or general fiction - to the next level.

One full day of sessions (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) with established novelists covering subjects from Great Beginnings, Structure, Dialogue, Creating Compelling Characters to Revisions. And publishing professionals will address the Basics of Publishing, the Short Story Market, and more.

The teaching staff is filled with New York Times best-selling authors, and Edgar, Anthony, Agatha and Nero Award-winning authors like Reed Farrel Coleman, Lyndsay Faye, Jane Cleland, Charles Salzberg, Chris Knopf, James Benn and more.
 
Cost for the day is $75 per person, $65 for MWA members, students, and seniors. Fee includes a continental breakfast, boxed lunch, and coffee/wine wrap-up party.
