Mayor’s Gallery presents Nat Connacher Emotional Rescue

Nat Connacher "Emotional Residue" works on paper at the Mayor's Gallery from July 7th – August 31, 2017

Opening Reception: Tuesday, July 11 from 5:30 – 7:30pm

“The most dynamic, new and original work from this gifted artist should not be missed”, says gallery director, Lina Morielli. “The pieces are energized with bold colors, layers of textures; you can look at them a hundred times and see something new at each viewing.”

My art is the synthesis of my love for geometric forms and an ability to simplify complex visual ideas with raw emotional marks on paper.

I am physically blending and removing acrylic paint from watercolor paper to create abstract compositions of color and texture. The texture is the residue of paint that will not wash away, like the underlying wisdom and strength we all possess - our authentic self, that others want us to conceal.

The Mayor's Gallery is located on the 10th floor Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd, Stamford, CT
