Fairfield County Bank Branch Mangers Speak at Connecticut Food Bank Event

Vice President and Branch Manager Odette Batista, Assistant Vice President and Branch Managers Debbie Przewlocki, Michael Stacey and Richard Siegal with Miguel Garcia, Service Operations Manager, spoke at the Connecticut Food Bank “GROW! Up With Good Nutrition” event.

The GROW (Grocery On Wheels) Truck made its first stop in Bridgeport where Odette Batista spoke about financial literacy. GROW made its second stop at the Stamford Family Center; January 18, 2017, where Michael Stacey, Richard Siegal, and Miguel Garcia presented information about how to save and budget your money to local families. On January 26, 2017, the GROW Truck stopped at Park Avenue Elementary School in Danbury, where Debbie Przewlocki spoke to families about how to budget your money.

The Connecticut Food Bank GROW! Up With Good Nutrition program is designed to help families in need stock up on food items at no expense to them. The truck is equipped with refrigerators to hold fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, fish, meat and much more. The truck also has shelves designed to keep non-perishable food items.

The program aims to educate parents and guardians who struggle with hunger and financial well-being. GROW provides financial literacy and life skills that the parents can teach their children and to improve their lives.
