Chelsea Piers Connecticut Announces New Staff for Squash & Tennis

Chelsea Piers Connecticut is proud to announce the addition of Bill Mountford as Senior Director of Racquets.  Mountford has more than two decades of tennis management experience, and arrives from the US Tennis Association.

Mountford was formerly the Director of Tennis at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, home to the US Open. He also worked for Great Britain's Lawn Tennis Association, responsible for Coaches and Competitions in the United Kingdom.  As a Director in Community Tennis for the USTA, Mountford focused on the highly successful 10 and Under Tennis initiative, Collegiate Tennis, and most recently he was charged with overseeing junior tournaments and junior competition in the US since 2013.

Mountford brings unparalleled experience and expertise to Chelsea Piers.  In addition to overseeing all tennis operations, Mountford will also oversee squash operations, working closely with Squash Director, Natalie Grainger, to ensure the highest level of service and programming for our squash players.

“We are delighted to welcome Bill to the team,” commented Greta Wagner, Executive Director, Chelsea Piers Connecticut.  “Bill has an incredible breadth of experience at all levels of tennis, both on the national and international stage.  We look forward to him managing our already successful tennis and squash businesses, and bringing the quality of all our programs to the next level.”
