Scouts in Uniform Receive Admission Discounts at Maritime on Saturday

On Sat., March 11, Boy Scouts can be thrifty and Girl Scouts can use resources wisely by taking advantage of an admission discount at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.

March 11 is Scout Day at The Maritime Aquarium. Any Girl Scout or Boy Scout wearing her or his uniform to the Aquarium that day receives a discounted price of $14 for admission (which includes a daytime IMAX® movie).

For Scouts, that’s a thrifty resource savings off the regular ticket prices of $22.95 for adults; $20.95 for youths (13-17) & seniors (65+); and $15.95 for children (3-12).

The in-uniform discount applies to Scouts of all levels, even adult Scout leaders. (It’s not available for advance online purchases.)

Enrollment is now closed for bonus Scout Day educational programs that support badge achievement, and Aquarium sleepovers for Scouts on the nights of March 10th and 11th are sold out. But the admission discount encourages Scouts to be part of Scout Day and enjoy the chance to get close to sharks, seals, sea turtles and all of the Aquarium’s fascinating marine animals. Plus, the Aquarium is featuring two IMAX movies on March 11 that will appeal to Scouts: “Dream Big” at 10 a.m., noon and 2 & 4 p.m.; and “Secret Ocean” at 11 a.m. and 1 & 3 p.m.

For more information about Scout Day or about the popular Connecticut family attraction’s exhibits, IMAX movies and programs, call (203) 852-0700 or go to www.maritimeaquarium.org.
