The Stratford Library is reaching out to the community to donate their gently used books and movies in order to support the library fund at their upcoming annual book sale during the first weekend in June, which coincides with the Main Street Festival, better and formerly known as Stratford Day. The book sale is scheduled for June 5th through 8th.
The book sale serves as one of the Stratford Library's chief means of fundraising private donations in order to continue its services to the community. Fiction and nonfiction books, audio and visual recordings (DVDs, Blu Ray, and CDs) will be accepted, however magazines and other non book items will not be accepted. The donations bin is in the main lobby of the library. Biographies, cookbooks, poetry, plays, travel, mystery, science fiction, and children's books are extremely popular items at the book sale in recent years, and donations in these genres are most beneficial for the library.
If you are looking to drop off books and film, the library hours are:
Monday – Thursday: 10-8
Friday – Saturday: 10-5
The book donation bin is located in the library's Main Lobby adjacent to the Main Street entrance. For further information, call 203.385-4161 or check the library website at: www.stratfordlibrary.org.
