The Sterling House Community Center is involved with a fundraising imitative sponsored by the Fairfield Community Foundation (FCCF) and Bank of America in an effort to have a united campaign to benefit Fairfield County charities. Fairfield County Giving Day is on Friday, March 7th. For 24 hours donations will be accepted through www.FCGives.org with the goal to inspire and unite area residents in supporting hundreds of local non-profits. The goal is to raise $1 million to benefit hundreds of local nonprofit organizations over a 24-hour period. Local charities that raise the most are eligible for some matching funds from the FCCF. The grand prize is $100,000, with additional awards ranging from $500 to $25,000. Donations of any size will be accepted On Fairfield County Giving Day.

Your support will make an enormous difference in the life of a community center which has been serving Greater Bridgeport since 1932. Sterling House provides social, educational and recreational programs for over 13,000 children, teenagers and adults yearly: Pre-school, afterschool enrichment classes, athletics, day camp, youth volunteer and employment programs, adult support groups, clubs and classes, basic needs assistance programs/food pantry, community crisis support and MORE! Awards will be given to local nonprofits who receive the most donations over the 24-hour period.
