Stratford Police are investigating a threat made against Flood Middle School today as letters went out to parents to notify them about the possible threat.
The threats generated from online messages that were anonymous. Police and school officials do not believe that the threats are credible or that any Flood students or staff are in jeopardy. Police were present at the school for the entire day, patrolling both inside and outside of the school.
The threat occurred in the morning, and parents were not notified of the situation until after the end of school (2:30-2:45 pm). This has raised concerns with parents, similar toe the Stratford High School threats earlier in the year about parents not being notified promptly about potential safety concerns at public schools.
