Teachers to Observe, Think, Write at The Aldrich Museum

The demands associated with improving test scores and standards have led to a trend for all classroom education to be language-aware; therefore teachers are being challenged to present a rich writing and reading curriculum, regardless of their expertise.

Observe, Think, Write, a free workshop to be held at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, January 31, will serve to inspire and inform classroom teachers by exploring methods and ideas that succeed in the cross-curricular classroom. Participants will focus on connecting thinking and writing with classroom goals by using art as a vehicle for deeper examination.

Suzanne Enser-Ryan, the Museum’s senior manager of school, teacher, and docent programs, will lead the workshop. Refreshments will be served. .3 CEUs are available.

For more information about this free event, contact Ms. Enser-Ryan at (203) 438.4519, or seryan@aldrichart.org. Click here to register online. The Museum is located at 258 Main St. in Ridgefield. Regular Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 12 noon to 5 pm. For more information call 203.438.4519 or visit aldrichart.org.
