Outdoor Movies and a Pizza Truck at Levitt Pavilion for Middle and High Schoolers Begins Aug. 20

The Westport Youth Commission’s outdoor movie series returns for its 9th annual run beginning Tuesday, Aug. 20, Human Services Outreach Counselor Elaine Daignault announced on the Town of Westport website this week.

“Teenflix has become a Westport tradition for many young people and their families over the years,” said Daignault in the post. “It is a free event and begins at 8:30 p.m. This year we have invited the Pizza Truck Company to sell pizza, salad, coffee, and gelato at the event as well.”

Daignault added that partners with the Westport Youth Commission on the outdoor film series include Toquet Hall, the Westport Library, and the Levitt Pavilion.

The screenings, open to middle and high schoolers, take place at Jesup Green, the Levitt Pavilion’s temporary site, and will begin with “Happy Gilmore,” the 1996 Adam Sandler comedy featuring a rejected hockey player using his skills on the golf course to save his grandmother’s home. The film also stars Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, and Frances Bay.

For questions about weather and schedules, phone the Pavilion's concert hotline at (203) 221-2153 after 4 p.m. on day of show. The rain location is Toquet Hall. For more visit levittpavilion.com.
