Travis Tritt’s special acoustic show at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, March 9

Country Music fans can get up close and personal with multi-award winner Travis Tritt who will perform his special acoustic show at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, March 9, at 8 p.m. His five #1 hits include “Help Me Hold On”, “Anymore”, “Can I Trust You With My Heart” and “Foolish Pride”. Seven of his albums are certified Platinum with sales in excess of 25 million. Lyndsey Highlander will open for Travis Tritt. With a style powered by massive vocal chops, soothing falsettos, and intimate story telling, Lyndsey is a top-notch performer. Ticket holders can enjoy a free glass of house wine with dinner the night of the event at the Ancient Mariner (451 Main St., Ridgefield). A singer/songwriter and actor who plays guitar and banjo, Travis Tritt has racked up an impressive array of awards including Billboard’s Top New Male Artist (1990), two Grammy® awards and three Country Music Association awards including Vocal Event of the Year for his hits “This One’s Gonna’ Hurt You” and “Honky Tonkin’s What I Do Best”. Record producer Randy Jackson (judge on “American Idol”) paid a compliment to Tritt by saying, “Dude, I knew you could sing, but I had no idea you could do that blue-eyed soul thing!” Tritt’s widely praised album The Storm (2007) showcases the deep musical links between country and R&B.
