Fairfield Museum and History Center (FMHC) has issued a Call for Entries for its IMAGES 2012 Exhibition. Professional, serious amateur, and student photographers are invited to participate in this Fourth Annual Juried Photography show, to be held at the Center from May 6 through July 22, 2012.
One photographer from the Professional/Serious Amateur category and one from the Student category will be selected as Grand Prize Winners. Among the awards for the Professional/Serious Amateur winner is a 10-day exhibition at the renowned Southport Galleries in Southport, Conn., www.southportgalleries.com at a date to be determined by the gallery. The Student Grand Prize winner will receive a professional portfolio review with photographers Bill Eppridge and Adrienne Aurichio.
How to Enter
ALL competition entries are submitted online. Artists may submit up to 10 images under one of two categories: Professional/Serious Amateur or Student (active student under 24 years of age). Artists in those categories may submit their work for consideration under the following subjects: Landscape, Portrait, Nature, Abstract and Architecture.
IMAGES is open to all Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts residents.
Fees
Professional/Serious Amateur: $10 per image
Students: $5 per image.
Payable via PayPal through the online submission process. Entries cannot be submitted without payment.
IMAGES 2012 will be juried by Bill Eppridge, Adrienne Aurichio, John Paul Filo, James Estrin, Jody Potter, and Anne Cahill. Jurors will review all submissions and select approximately 60 photographs for exhibition and designate works for Grand Jury Prize awards.
