(Norwalk, CT) With an eye on promoting philanthropy and developing leadership in the nonprofit community as a means to create change in Fairfield County, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation announced the appointment of Elaine Mintz as the Vice President of Operations. Mintz will continue in her role leading the Center of Nonprofit Excellence and is now responsible for advancing FCCF’s human capital management plan and strategic goal-setting process.
Elaine Mintz joined Fairfield County’s Community Foundation in 2011. “It is an honor to announce Elaine Mintz’s new position as FCCF’s Vice President of Operations. She is a key liaison to the Fairfield County nonprofit community and now her talents can continue and expand into other aspects of our organization. Her dedication has served to significantly strengthen the region’s nonprofit sector, while focusing on innovative and collaborative solutions to critical issues impacting the community,” stated Juanita James, CEO & President, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation.
Prior to joining Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, Ms. Mintz served as the director of the Greater Danbury Nonprofit Resource Center from its inception in 2005 to its merger with the FCCF in 2011. In the public sector, Mintz served at the state level as a research consultant with the Office of Policy & Management and as a staff member to the Appropriations Committee with the CT General Assembly. She also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Political Science Department at Norwalk Community College. Mintz holds a Master’s degree in public administration and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut.
