William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Westport Agents Host Artist Reception to Benefit Local Non-Profit Charity

Westport, Conn. (September 18, 2017) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Westport brokerage will be hosting an art show featuring the work of local artists curated by Trace Burroughs to benefit Tiny Miracles, a local charity dedicated to helping families with premature babies.

The reception will take place on September 30th from 3-5 PM at 5 Ridgewood Lane, Westport, a property listed by agents Susan Vanech, which is offered at $1,699,000.

Burroughs started his artistic career when he was 10 years old as an abstract impressionist, selling over 300 works and exhibiting at dozens of galleries, including many one man shows. He will team up with 11 other award-winning artists to showcase their art for two weeks in the 4,800 square-foot home. The artists will also donate 30 percent of their sales to Tiny Miracles.

Artists included in the show are Miggs Burroughs, Trace Burroughs, Amy Bock, Binnie Birstein, Diane Pollack, Eileen Panepinto, Emily Hamilton Laux, Jay Pertrow, Kathy Ross, Mary Harold, Michael Brennecke, and Steve Parton. Trace will also exhibit  a 37 minute video installation entitled Love & Fury.

The reception will also feature light appetizers from Lisa Clarke, owner of Soiree Catering, and music from classical guitarist Glen Roth.

Rebuilt from the foundation up, this three-level home features modern industrial details that counter balance the sensibility of its layout and flow, making it perfect for gathering and entertaining. Secluded at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Old Hill section of town, the house resides on nearly two-thirds of an acre of land with custom finishes including modern light fixtures and reclaimed and re-purposed materials.

“The whole idea is to connect Westport,” said William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty agent Imke Lohs, who is organizing the event. “Westport is an artsy town and everybody cultivates this image by supporting the arts wherever possible. Another strong aspect of Westport is the beautiful architecture, top of the line landscaping, interior design and last but not least, the young mothers who gave up their career to start something new for the community. My goal is to connect these aspects of Westport while supporting local artists and a great cause.”

Parking will be up the hill from Ridgewood Lane around the rotary at the entrance to Old Hill Road and in front of the Holy Trinity Cemetery which is across the street from the rotary. Here is link to a map: www.burroughsmedia.com/MAP-OF-PARKING.html
