Guests at the Westport Arts Center's annual fundraiser WONDERland: A Mad Art Party will be treated to a fantastical night full of wonders and whimsy. The evening will feature imaginative entertainment from a top notch New York talent agency. Patrons can expect to be surprised and enchanted throughout the evening while mingling against the elegant backdrop of Gallaher Mansion, in Cranbury Park, Norwalk, CT. Guests should arrive prepared to discover the unexpected. WONDERland will be held on Saturday, April 26.
"WONDERland will be a feast for the imagination," remarked Erika Miller, Chair of entertainment for the WONDERland gala. "We want patrons to experience the fantasy of WONDERland filled with elegance and dimension. We've sourced amazing entertainment who will perform throughout the evening to make this a memorable event for all."
The evening will be highlighted with a performance by Juilliard trained soprano opera singer and Westport native, Lucia Palmieri. Lucia, who graduated from Staples High School in 1993, has sung internationally after her critically renowned debut at Carnegie Hall. Lucia's passion has always been charity; currently, she gives singing lessons to children in the Bridgeport area. "The Westport Arts Center is a manifestation of everything that makes Westport such a wonderful, magical, music and art filled place to live. The programs the Westport Arts Center makes available are not only educational, entertaining, and fun, they are an integral outlet for artist in almost every medium. I am so honored to be a part of this evening," said Lucia.
WONDERland will honor Ann Sheffer as the Queen of Arts, for her unwavering commitment to the arts. Guests are invited to celebrate Ann at a cocktail reception and dinner at 5:30 for $500 or to Sip, Savor, and Seek at the WONDERland party, beginning at 8:00, for $225.
