Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program for Teens at the Westport Library

Join former Westport resident Ginger Katz, author of Sunny’s Story and founder of the Courage to Speak Foundation, as she discusses her family’s experience with teen drug abuse on Wednesday, October 1, at 7 pm in the Westport Library’s Seminar Room. The program is presented in conjunction with the Norwalk-based Human Services Council and is free and open to the public.

Sunny's Story tells the story of Katz's son's life from the point of view of Sunny, the family beagle. The story is about the ups and downs of life with the dog’s young master, beginning with their meeting at an animal shelter and ending with a futile effort to ward off disaster.

The Norwalk-based Courage to Speak Foundation is dedicated to saving lives by educating and empowering youth to be drug-free and encouraging parents to talk to their children about the danger of drugs.
