Author Talk: Women’s Work in World War II

On Sunday, November 9th at 2pm the Norwalk Historical Society hosts a presentation entitled, “Women’s Work in World War II” with author and aviation historian John Cilio. It will be held at Mill Hill Historic Park – Town House Museum, 2 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT. Hear the stories of the millions of women who stepped into jobs with minimal training and no experience in order to keep America running during the war. They enlisted in every branch of service available to them and served around the globe bravely and proudly.  From the home front, they helped the war effort and because of their efforts they transformed the workplace. “Women’s Work in World War II, is Mr. Cilio’s sixth historical book. This event is co-sponsored with the Connecticut Humanities initiative, CT at Work.

Admission is free. Light refreshments following the presentation. For information: info@norwalkhistoricalsociety.org , 203-846-0525 or www.norwalkhistoricalsociety.org.
