What is the Creative Economy and What Makes it Tick?
This is a community discussion, organized by the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, to explore what holds artists, cultural nonprofits, and creative businesses together in the engine that drives the creative economy of Fairfield County. The objectives of the discussion are to:
  • Achieve a better understanding of the links between the culture industry and our regional economy;
  • Create a more engaged connection between artists, cultural nonprofits and creative businesses;
  • Outline means to create a number of pilot programs for collaboration among artists, cultural nonprofits and businesses.

This event also offers the opportunity to discover the resources and funding opportunities available through the New England Foundation for the Arts, notably the CreativeGround Directory of creative enterprises and artists, spotlighting the rich range of creative people and places at work in the six New England states.
