NPR and "This American Life" favorite David Sedaris’ delightfully thorny account of a struggling young writer who takes a job as a Christmas elf at Macy’s in New York City, and offers a sardonic, witty, irreverent accounting of elf training, bad Santa's, abusive customers, and humiliating conditions.
