Wakeman Town Farm’s Family Fun Day Set for Sat. July 9 - Noon - 4 p.m.
Wakeman Town Farm’s Annual “Family Fun Day” event is scheduled for Saturday, July 9. Every year, hundreds of local families bring the kids to the Farm, at 134 Cross Highway in Westport, for a afternoon of good old-fashioned fun and games, including Farm Olympics, a Hoe Down Grill with freshly grilled burgers, veggie burgers, and dogs, Farmers’ Cow ice cream and lemonade, live music, face painting, water balloon toss, meet the animals, and a pie-eating contest. And back by popular demand, the members of the Westport Astronomical Society will bring their solar telescopes to safely view the sun and the waxing crescent first quarter moon! The cost for the event is $5 per person, and food/drink is available for purchase.
