Mary Ann Hall Music for Children, Free Family Concert at the Seabury Center

On Sunday, Dec. 17, from 3 to 4 pm, Westport Historical Society is pleased to present its traditional one-hour Holiday Concert, presented by Mary Ann Hall’s MUSIC FOR CHILDREN & Beyond™ program at the Seabury Center, 45 Church Lane, Westport. This concert will feature songs of Christmas and Hanukkah performed and accompanied by faculty from MUSIC FOR CHILDREN on guitar, harp, keyboard and flute. Holiday refreshments will be served after the concert.

Now in its 12th year, the holiday concert is hosted by Westport Historical Society. “We are thrilled to offer this concert, free of charge, this year, to Westport families to enjoy.  The concert will celebrate the themes of “peace, gratitude and kindness,” according to the Society’s Executive Director, Susan Gold. Mary Ann Hall, who holds a master’s degree from the U of Michigan, founded MUSIC FOR CHILDREN 43 years ago on the principle that “the child is the instrument.” Their mission, she said, is to develop musicianship and a lifelong enjoyment of music by “connecting the ART of the music with the HEART of the CHILD.”

The concert is free but reservations are strongly encouraged. Kindly call Westport Historical Society at 203-222-1424 to make your reservations.
