The Garcia Project brings classic Jerry Garcia music to The Ridgefield Playhouse Tomorrow Night!

The Garcia Project will perform a classic Jerry Garcia Band show AND Acoustically Speaking will open up the night with a special set of acoustic Grateful Dead on Saturday, June 27, at The Ridgefield Playhouse.

If you close your eyes, you’ll swear you’re at a Jerry Garcia Band show!  The Garcia Project faithfully channels and projects the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and their fans through many years of musical bliss. It’s about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another.

It’s The Garcia Project at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, June 27, at 8 p.m. Some of their many hits include “Struggling Man”, “Stir It Up”, “Deal” and “I Shall Be Released”.  The Garcia Project performs actual, full, classic Jerry Garcia Band shows from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s and recreates each show according to the original set list which makes the Jerry Garcia Band experience a reality once again for old fans and a great evening of rock music for first-timers. Mike Bondy will be on guitar and vocals with Kat Walkerson on vocals, Dan Crea on bass, Greg Marshall on keys and Bobby Belanger on drums. Special guest is Acoustically Speaking, who kick out ‘80s and ‘90s alternative rock, classic rock, pop, funk, country, and some originals.

An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 addt'l per person), which includes a cocktail party from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors-d’oeuvre and priority parking is available for this show by calling the box office (203-438-5795).   In the lobby before the show enjoy music by Echoes, a contemporary jazz quartet comprised of four rising young stars in the jazz world. Although all members are just over twenty years of age, the group already has a collection of Downbeat, Essentially Ellington, and Berklee School of music awards between them. These four musicians have already performed with many of the established jazz greats such as Tim Reis, Lem Adams, Dick Oats and Abraham Laboriel.  Formed in January of 2014 at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Echoes has performed at Ohio staples like The Bop Stop, Happy Dog, and the WOBC radio station. 

Make it a night out and visit Tiger’s Den (23 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield) for dinner the night of the show and receive a complimentary glass of house wine or draft beer when tickets are presented.  This event is underwritten by Casey Energy and is part of the Xfinity Rock Series.
