The concert starts at 5 p.m. and lasts one hour. There will be limited cabaret style seating; Tickets are $25 for premium table seating and $15 for row seating.  Wine, sparkling water, cheese & crackers will be served. Due to the mature themes in some of the music in this concert, we recommend it for those 18 years of age and older.  There will be alcohol-free seating provided for those under 21.

“Raucous,” “refined,” “received with much pleasure”: the ensemble les soûls d’amour (pronounced lay SOOL dah-MOOR) has garnered rave reviews since its 2015 debut, which “left the audience awed” (Boston Musical Intelligencer).  Performing great and lesser-known Renaissance and Baroque repertoire from across the world, the ensemble consists of Molly Netter, soprano; Andrew Padgett, bass-baritone and hurdy-gurdy; Alana Youssefian, baroque violin; David Ellis, viola da gamba; and Jake Street, harpsichord and artistic direction.  The members of les soûls d’amour are fervently devoted to singing the merits of love and a good drink with friends, and are equally comfortable in the church, the concert hall, and the coffee shop.  From a lovesick Merula Ciaccone, to feisty and flirty arias of Purcell and Monteverdi, to the bawdiest drinking songs of the German Baroque and Spanish Renaissance, this ensemble proves that “antique composers and their modern day advocates could meet in the barroom and share great jokes” (BMInt).

For ticket information, call (203) 847-2806 or stop by St. Paul's on the Green office 9-5 Monday-Friday. Tickets are also available on Wednesdays after Mid-Day Music at 12:35 pm and during St. Paul's coffee hours on Sunday mornings.

The concert will be held at St. Paul’s on the Green, 60 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
