Shelley Lacey-Castelot, ATACP, MS is a nationally recognized expert in the use of assistive technology (AT) for students with learning disabilities. She will discuss the range of options available, from low-tech aids to the latest speech recognition software, screen readers, pulse pens, etc. to help students having trouble with reading, writing, and math. She will also explore the mainstream technology available for the iPhone, iTouch and iPad. A certified reading and language arts consultant in addition to her certificate in assistive technology, Shelley Lacey-Castelot is Director of Literacy Solutions, providing evaluations and instructional design for AT use at home and at school, and an authority on the use of speech-recognition software.
